The issue is related to an update to our Kubernetes infrastructure which deleted our Load Balancer by mistake. This left the outside world with no access to the API. I was not alerted until 11pm Monday night and was unable to attend to the issue until Wednesday night 6:30pm. The issue has since been resolved and I will take better care of tracking changes to existing infrastructure. With version control systems to immediately roll back any changes in the case of an outage.
