The API was unavailable for around 32 hours from Monday night to Wednesday night. The issue is related to an update to our Kubernetes infrastructure which deleted our Load Balancer by mistake. This left the outside world with no access to the API. I was not alerted until 11pm Monday night and was unable to attend to the issue until Wednesday night 6:30pm. The issue has since been resolved and I will take better care of tracking changes to existing infrastructure. With version control systems to immediately roll back any changes in the case of an outage.
